Anti-lock disc brakes are fitted to the front, and drum brakes to the rear. A mechanical jack is provided with tools in case of the need to change a tire. Speaking of tires, the Chevy Trax LS comes with 16-inch painted aluminum wheels, a compact spare tire, halogen reflector headlamps, and sculpted taillamps.
Outside mirrors are body color and are power-adjusted, but can be manually folded to keep them tucked in for tight spaces. A solar-absorbing windshield minimizes the effects of the sun inside the cabin, which maintains a more comfortable temperature inside the car. The windshield is also acoustically laminated to dampen sound and make your drive quieter. Front and rear wipers are intermittent.
The infotainment system includes an 8-inch diagonal color touchscreen, with AM/FM stereo voice pass-through technology wired to a 6-speaker audio system. This tech includes Bluetooth streaming audio and comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capability. USB ports are dual and have a single auxiliary input jack. A 4G LTE WiFi hotspot is available, as is the myChevrolet mobile app to access certain features of the Trax from your phone.
In the driver’s seat, a manually tilt and telescoping steering wheel will provide the right position for comfort during the drive. Steering wheel-mounted controls will allow simple operation of the stereo system, phone interface, and cruise control settings. Programmable power door locks prevent locking your keys in the vehicle, a feature every car owner can appreciate. Enjoy the comfort of filtered air, a rear window defogger, six cup holders, a 12-volt power outlet, a rear cargo area cover to keep belongings out of sight, four cargo tie-downs, and cargo area lighting.
Cloth-trimmed bucket seats in front are manually positioned, with the option to fold the front passenger seat flat to increase interior cargo space for larger items. The rear bench seat folds flat in a 60/40 configuration for the convenience of needing a larger or smaller space for either seating or cargo, allowing for 48.3 cubic feet of total available space. Child seat tether anchors will make certain your little ones are secure in the back seat, and the vehicle seats five total passengers with all seats upright.
StabiliTrak will ensure safer driving with electronic stability and traction control. This feature will automatically adjust the brakes to keep you on the road, and will apply extra braking control if it senses a loss of vehicle control. Ten airbags are located throughout the cabin, and in the case of an accident, On-Star and Chevrolet Connected Services will help you in case of the need for emergency assistance. In addition, the Chevy Trax comes standard with a rear-vision camera to back up safely, and rear child door locks to keep your little ones inside the vehicle.
