Chevrolet is a respected name in U.S. car manufacturing, and you'd be hard-pressed to find an American who isn't familiar with Chevy. If you are looking to buy a car from a home-grown manufacturer with respectable values and a demonstrated love for the community, look no further than Frank Kent Chevrolet. The team at our Chevy dealership will help you throughout the sales process and beyond. We always seek to find our customers a vehicle that will fit all their needs and wants. After you drive off our lot, we're here for you anytime you need routine maintenance or emergency car service.
Frank Kent Chevrolet has the expertise that you won't find elsewhere. That's because we've been in the business for many, many years. After 18 years of automotive experience, Frank Kent founded the Frank Kent Motor Company back in 1935. Frank was committed to service and sales excellence. Even after his passing in 1987, we remain committed to those values. Frank Kent is here for the community, and we never stray from our longstanding motto, "morals, values, and ethics over profits."
When you decide to buy a Chevy, you're choosing from an esteemed line of well-engineered vehicles. Swiss race car driver and auto engineer Louis Chevrolet and his partners originally formed the Chevrolet Motor Company in Detroit in 1911, beginning an American icon. The first mass-produced Chevy vehicles were the Series C Classic Six. You may be interested to know that this vehicle offered an electric starter and electric headlamps - cutting edge features that were still rare in even the most luxurious cars of the day.
Chevy continued to produce vehicles that were ahead of the technological curve, offering luxury features at reasonable prices. Over time, performance standards came into greater focus, and Chevy was at the forefront of affordable and capable vehicles. Chevy's early engines became famous for industry-leading reliability. However, it was Chevy's small-block V8 engine that made high performance accessible to the common man. This development in 1955 started a revolution in engine technology that inspired future generations to come.
Over the years, Chevy has produced tons of iconic vehicles. The Corvette and the Camaro, introduced in 1953 and 1967, defined an entire genre of sporty automobiles. Roaring engines, classic styling, and brawny pure power excited American muscle car enthusiasts and collectors around the country. Chevy's cultural contributions don't end there.
Chevy has been pivotal in designing and helping trucks and SUVs evolve as well. It may surprise you to know that the Suburban has been around since 1935! Just remember, Chevy has been at the forefront of quality vehicle production for well over 100 years. For a familiar brand that delivers on its promises, there's no one better than Chevrolet.
The 2020 Chevy Silverado comes with your choice of not two, not three, but a staggering six different engine options. Each powertrain is optimized to bridge the gap between unbeatable power and surprisingly excellent fuel efficiency ratings. With so many appealing choices to pick from, we'll simplify things a bit by giving you a quick rundown of each.
First off, there's the supremely fuel-efficient Duramax 3.0-liter Turbo Diesel, with an estimated range of 648 miles on a single tank. Don't be fooled by anyone who tells you that diesel costs more. Although the cost per gallon may be higher in most places, a full tank of this engine will go the distance. Two-wheel drive models can get you up to 33 MPG on the highway, so you'll spend less time at the pump and more time on the road. A 10-speed automatic transmission and auto start-stop technology make for a smooth and economical ride. Get 277 hp, 460 lb-ft of torque, and a max towing capacity of 9,300 pounds.
The Silverado's largest gasoline engine is the 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8 with Dynamic Fuel Management. Here you'll get a best-in-class 420 hp, 460 lb-ft of torque, and 13,400 pounds of maximum towing capacity. This powerhouse is available on the High Country, LTZ, LT Trail Boss, RST, and Custom Trail Boss trims. If you've got heavy loads to haul, this massive engine won't let you down.
A 5.3-liter Ecotec3 V8 can be paired with Chevy's Active Fuel Management (and six-speed automatic transmission) or Dynamic Fuel Management (with an eight or ten-speed automatic transmission). Either way, this engine puts out 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. If you don't quite need the immense power of the 6.2-liter V8, then the 5.3-liter V8 is a great choice.
Two smaller engines are also available, including a 4.3-liter EcoTec3 V6 and a 2.7-liter turbocharged engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Both take advantage of Active Fuel Management technology for optimal efficiency. The 4.3-liter produces 285 hp and 305 lb-ft of torque. The 2.7-liter Turbo bumps the power up to 310 hp and 348 lb-ft of torque. No matter what level of power you need, Chevy has found a way to deliver it to you in a fuel-efficient package with the Silverado 1500.
The 2020 Chevy Malibu has no shortage of advanced driver assistance features to help keep you safe. While there's no substitute for attentive driving habits (at least not yet), Chevy does everything possible to provide you with a second pair of eyes on the road. Among the Malibu's array of available features, you'll find forward collision alert. If you drift a little too close to the car ahead, or you're following a vehicle that suddenly stops short, the system kicks in to alert you back to safety before it's too late.
If a forward collision is impending and you fail to take action, the Malibu will even automatically apply the brakes to avoid or at least mitigate the collision. In addition, adaptive cruise control takes your old cruise control a step further with sensors and radar to maintain your preferred distance from vehicles ahead, saving you the wasted gas mileage associated with frequent braking and accelerating.
For enhanced safety when switching lanes, lane change alert with side blind zone alert are your new best friends. A helpful alert pops up on your side mirror anytime a speedy vehicle is fast approaching as you try to switch lanes. Through audible beeps and visual indicators, rear cross-traffic alert lets you know about approaching vehicles when you attempt to back out of a parking space or driveway. A standard rear vision camera gives you peace of mind with a full view of what lies behind you, providing dynamic guidelines to direct your steering safely and accurately while parking.
Better night vision is also possible with Intellibeam headlamps that automatically turn off and on as needed. You'll be able to see ahead but avoid blinding other drivers as these switch to low beams when oncoming cars are detected. Perhaps one of the most impressive driver assistance features in the Malibu is front pedestrian braking. Like forward collision alert does for cars, this system warns you of any pedestrians ahead. If you haven't applied the brakes and a crash is imminent, driver braking is enhanced through hard emergency braking to protect your vehicle and those around you.
Not great at parallel parking? You'll love automatic park assist. Once an open spot is detected, your car will literally park itself. All you have to do is follow the text commands, braking, accelerating, and selecting the gears as directed. For both parallel and perpendicular spaces, automatic park assist is the perfect companion for getting into those tight parking spaces.
If you decide to let your teen driver take a spin in your new Malibu, you'll be happy to know about Chevy's Teen Driver system. Several customizable settings make it easier to hand over the keys without worrying quite as much. An in-vehicle report card keeps you in the loop of your teen's driving habits when you're not in the car. The Buckle to Drive feature, along with volume and speed controls, are essential to ensure that your teen is making good decisions behind the wheel.
